My background
|
My financially literate father, who was a corporate CFO and MBA, heavily influenced my childhood. I witnessed firsthand how his knowledge empowered him, and how his foresight enriched our lifestyle. Others did not experience the same comfort and educational opportunities as I did. This was due to a lack of training, experience, and financial discipline. During my high school years, I saw others:
I decided that I wanted to become a financial consultant to protect myself, and to build a career helping other people avoid these unnecessary losses. When I was at Johns Hopkins, I majored in economics and then psychology. Psychological sciences taught me how people make decisions, why they make them, and what the evolutionary background is for those decisions. Since 2004, I have worked in different facets of financial planning with over one hundred households. I have a variety of experience in designing comprehensive financial plans, analyzing insurance instruments, handling material investment accounts, preparing tax returns, and sales/marketing. |
